Dr Oscar Acuna is the Lead for Outreach and International Programs at the National Center for Electron Beam Research (NCEBR) at Texas A&M University. The NCEBR is a leading academic and research organization in the world that is focused on the research, development, and promotion of Electron Beam (eBeam) and X-ray technologies. Dr Acuna serves as a liaison with NCEBR’s client institutions and partners organizations in the US and internationally for the adoption of these irradiation advanced technologies. Dr Oscar Acuna has over 35 years of combined experience in international cooperation, project management, and international development in the nuclear sector. Before joining Texas A&M University, he served in various positions in the Technical Cooperation Department of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA). He spent close to 20 years at the IAEA promoting cooperation with countries around the world for the peaceful uses of nuclear techniques in the food and agriculture, environment, health, energy, and industrial sectors to support sustainable development. Dr Acuna is an industrial engineer by training and holds a master’s degree on Business Administration and a PhD in Nuclear Applications from Warwick University in the UK.
